Blue Mountains Conservancy's 3rd Annual Raffle is offering some spectacular prizes! Ranging in estimated value from $75 - $400, you can have 8 chances to win for only $20. (Big thanks to all of our donors! We TRULY couldn't do this without you!) Stop by Blue Mountain Outfitters, Faerie Beads and Treasures, Kneads Bakery, RE/MAX Real Estate Team to buy your tickets today. OR just ask a board member. You can contact a Conservancy representative HERE.
Remember, this is an ITEM BY ITEM raffle. You don't have to throw your name into the hat of an item you're not interested in winning! But you DO need to remember to circle the item you ARE interested in winning on the back of each ticket you buy. Then visit any of the local businesses mentioned above and toss your ticket in the Conservancy Raffle jar. The raffle drawing will take place during Swift Night Out, September 9th, 2016, in Max Square. Can't make it? Never fear. Winners need not be present! HEART OF THE BLUES LECTURE SERIES ANNOUNCEMENT
Interested in learning more about wildlife in Oregon? Come join ODF&W's Pat Matthews as he presents next week at Cook Memorial Library. Email Katie Boula at info@bluemountainsconservancy.org with questions. Hope to see you there! You might think it's all fun and games here behind the scenes at the Conservancy. Between building fences at MERA and watching bats at Pete's Pond, we certainly DO have our share of fun. But we work hard, too! Just last weekend we had a meeting to discuss fundraising roles and strategies. Boring, right? Honestly, see the photographic evidence below of what a snoozefest it was! Huckleberry pie, baby tambourines, and lots of smiles. What a labor of love!
Because the old adage still rings true: a board who eats homemade dessert together, STAYS together! Contact us to learn more about becoming a board member!
And yet...in the face of a drought and groundwater decline Pete's Pond is rapidly disappearing!!
Please click HERE to link to our GoFundMe campaign to help us raise enough money to purchase a solar-powered pump to continue to provide habitat for wildlife, educational opportunities for out local school kids, and semi-public space where native plants can thrive. EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS! Thank you to those who have already donated toward the cause, and to the rest of you for your generosity. |
