The wind certainly couldn't keep us away from celebrating Earth (and Science) Day last Saturday! The first annual celebration in Max Square was an unequivocal hit, and we thank all the kids and kids-at-heart who stopped by the Conservancy booth for some animal pelt identifyin', raffle-ticket buyin', Eastern Oregon conservin', Outdoor School learnin' FUN!
Here is a chance you WON'T want to miss. Thanks to the generous donation of Southwest Airlines, we are thrilled to announce TWO grand prizes for this year's raffle: each grand prize features 4 one-way ticket vouchers (which can be combined to make 2 round-trip ticket vouchers, good for travel anywhere Southwest flies in the U.S.). Tickets are only $20 (or 5 for $90) and are limited to 499 tickets sold. Ticket sales are now available online HERE through RaffleCreator, and will also be offered at our tabling events and booths throughout the summer. Mark your calendars for September 1, 2017! We will be drawing winners on that evening, during our third annual Swift Night Out. Winners need not be present to win.
Don't miss this chance to support your local, growing land trust AND to try your luck at the domestic getaway of your dreams! It's a win-win!
Thanks in advance to Nella Mae's Farm as they prepare to host dozens of kids and parents for a day of exploration! Where does our food come from? What is a tap root? Who knew a fresh carrot could taste SO GOOD?! Registration STRONGLY recommended, and PLEASE no dogs. Please email us to save your spot today, or fill out our Contact Form if you'd rather!
This just in! Blue Mountains Conservancy will also have a booth at La Grande's first Earth Day celebration. Come on down and join us for some free giveaways, raffle tickets, and a surprisingly addictive matching game involving Sage Grouse... Intrigued? You should be! Find out more on April 22, rain or shine. See you there!
